Job Description
In the role of Lead Electrical Engineer, you are responsible for the design and production of battery systems. You have a coordinating role, monitoring the progress and quality of the entire process from A to Z. You review designs, technical applicability, and provide advice based on this. Consequently, you elevate your colleagues and the department to a higher level.
Your responsibilities consist of two parts. About two-thirds of your time is spent as a Lead Engineer. The remaining hours are dedicated to being a Team Lead in Productions & Logistics. You can decide how to allocate these hours in consultation, but we provide guidelines to give you an idea.
Electrical Engineer (20-30 hours)
- You are responsible for the formulation and execution of the engineering plan for all technical disciplines involved in the project, ensuring that the engineering process is carried out according to schedule, task allocation, and within the contract’s constraints.
- You take responsibility for periodic meetings between various technical disciplines to ensure smooth progress in the engineering process.
- You can quickly apply your design knowledge in a practical manner and convincingly present your expertise to colleagues and clients.
- You analyze processes, identify bottlenecks, and initiate and implement improvement proposals.
- You enjoy working collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
- You are adaptable and have a drive to learn (daily) in collaboration with your colleagues to find innovative and smart energy solutions.
- You combine a passion for sustainability with a business mindset and happily work on commercial challenges.
Lead Engineer (10-16 hours)
- Ensure that your team achieves its goals
- Establish and monitor targets for the Technology team
- Manage improvement projects
- Conduct evaluation discussions (every 3 months)
- Participate in MT & Department meetings
- Serve as a resource for internal and external questions
Your Profile

You have considerable experience in the energy sector but still find it enjoyable to realize your ideas from A to Z.
Job Requirements
- 7+ years of experience as a (Lead) Electrical Engineer or similar
- Graduated with a degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or similar (wo/hbo)
- Proficient in programming in C & C++
- Experience with soldering (both large and small scale)
- Experience with PCB design & assembly
Experience with CAD and Eagle - Experience with Excel
